Tarmac® repair in Coleshill for failed and disturbed surfaces

Surfacing and repair capability. Four-person crew. Commercial yard experience.

Repair the base as well as the blacktop

Loose edges removed

We cut back crumbling material before joining new Tarmac® to the surface.

Trenches properly reinstated

Disturbed sections are rebuilt after drainage or excavation work is complete.

Traffic shapes preparation

Repair depth reflects the vehicles and loading expected across the area.

Cut failed Tarmac® back to sound edges

Potholes, crumbling margins and settled patches can make an access route rough for vehicles and risky underfoot. We carry out localised Tarmac® repairs in commercial yards, access routes and other defined surface areas. Failed material is removed rather than hidden under a thin patch, and damaged edges are cut back so the replacement can meet a firmer boundary. We then prepare the base and lay replacement Tarmac® to suit the surrounding area. Repair depth and preparation depend on the loading, the extent of failure and what remains beneath the visible surface.

A newly laid Tarmac® patch contrasts with older asphalt near a large grey warehouse and metal fencing.

Reinstate surfaces after trenches are closed

Drainage, excavation and utility-related work often leaves a cut through an otherwise serviceable surface. We reinstate these local sections after the below-ground work has been completed and the trench properly backfilled. The edges, base condition and surrounding level need attention if the new strip is to sit sensibly with the existing Tarmac®. Targeted reinstatement can be more practical than replacing an entire surface where damage is contained. We assess access, traffic loading and repair dimensions before deciding how much material must be removed and rebuilt.

Frequently asked questions

Can you repair a pothole without resurfacing the whole yard?

A targeted repair may be suitable where failure is local and the surrounding surface remains serviceable. We inspect the edges, depth and base condition because a shallow patch won't solve movement or weakness underneath.

Do you reinstate Tarmac® after drainage work?

Yes. We can reinstate local Tarmac® sections after drainage or excavation where this forms part of the scope. The trench must be backfilled and prepared to support the expected traffic before replacement material is laid.

Why has a previous Tarmac® patch sunk?

Settlement can occur where the base or trench backfill lacks support, although each site needs assessment. We look at the depth, surrounding edges, drainage and traffic loading before defining the new repair area.
